It was Sunday that the curtains came down on the second edition of the Africa Cup of Nations basketball 3×3. Nigeria did not retain its title in men. Mali (women) simply flew over the competition.

Thanks to an exceptional card, Cheick Tidiane Traoré allowed the Ivory Coast team to win in the final against a very fit Ugandan team. The leader of the Ivorian team totals 22 points in the tournament. MVP, he is also in the best trio of the competition with Ugandan Tony Drileba and Abdul Yahaya of Nigeria, the tournament’s leading scorer with 35 points.

On the women’s side, the Malian women confirmed their supremacy on the 3×3. Djeneba Ndiaye, MVP and better, scorer of her team and her teammates won in the final against Congolese giants who lacked address in the final moments of the game.

Djeneba Ndiaye is also in the best trio of the tournament with Ginette Mfutila (DR Congo) and Elise Afetse who guided Togo to the bronze medal.

Nigerian Nkechi Akashili scored the most points over the three days with 36 goals.
